A total budget of R500 000, from the Department of Economic Development and Tourism

R374 000,00 for 13 shows, an average of R28 769 per show
R76 000,00 marketing budget for the series
R25 000,00 for development and completion of mobile vendor
R15 000,00 for online shop design
R10 000,00 additional publicity for finale

The Cape Town Partnership, in addition, added R1 970,36 from its own funds toward additional publicity for the finale.
 
The City of Cape Town provided an additional R20 000,00 for the finale, bringing the total project budget to R521 970,36

This was a squeeze, and a more realistic budget would look like:

R181 000,00 marketing
R748 000,00 production budget
Total budget of R929 000

This could be funded by a combination of state and private sector contributions.
