SIMBA MORRI
(acoustic guitar, electric guitar, vocals)
Friday 19 January 2007

A musician with a huge love for telling old folk tales and traveling throughout Africa participating in the Pan- African festivals, the little not-so-old laughing man called Simba (real name Morri Natti) was born in Kenya, and raised in Africa.

Listening to Simba enthusiastically strum his multi-Afro rhythms on his wooden-engraved electric “Soweto-chic” guitar, you can’t help but notice that first the corners of your mouth begin to curve upwards, then a bit more, next thing every object and every person seemed to be infused with impish giggles and big funny hoo-hahs coming from the collective native belly and one-resonating-heart.

Simba played with Les Javan on this evening, and what a match! Les and his serious other-worldliness and Simba’s realtime sense of humorous awareness combined to produce an extraordinarly fun time for all.
