Gavin and Yotam had arrived even before I did, which for a Friday dodging the traffic, was extremely early.

They had transformed the stage: there were cut flowers everywhere, flower chains draped casually around their necks, incence, white cotton clothes, sparkling eyes and an air of serenity.

Yotam played on his sitar, an instrument which is said to take “many lifetimes to learn and master” and Gavin was beating on the darbuka and tar drums.

An amazing, magical evening which was especially enjoyed by the foreign tourists and children, who were literally entranced by the music.
