Adamu is a seasoned and busy performer
– the Oppiestoep gig was one of three he had on the day. He was a
bit rushed, but truly professional: sound checked timeously, played
his two sets. Sang beautifully. But I felt that the gig was very
formulaic and safe. Too many standards. Not enough investment.
