Look Out Hill
Look Out Hill in Khayelitsha is a beautiful venue on Spine Road, on the border
with Mitchell's Plain. It features an open-air ampitheatre,
an exhibition hall, restaurant, viewing room, trade space and the
look-out point itself, accessible by wooden walkway.
Look Out Hill is a magnificent
resource that is under-utilised. It is largely unknown to the people of
Khayelitsha. It is used primarily for church services, weddings and as a
tourist destination. It is far from maximising its potential as a
revenue generating facility and a tool of transformation in Khayelitsha.
